Southwest Lacrosse (LAX) is a newly formed club in the Plainfield/Oswego Illinois area.  The club was formed to develop the sport of Lacrosse at the high school level for our local area.  It has been formed by a group of parents and volunteers who have young men playing on the New Wave Elite (www.newwavelax.com) travel team.

The goal of our team is to provide a safe and productive environment that enables young athletes to learn and apply the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship. Spring sports choices are limited to the young men and women in our area and many of the local schools have lacrosse programs.

Southwest Lacrosse will be a self-funded consolidated team of young men and women from the Plainfield/Oswego area.  Our club will run a developmental indoor league during the winter, sponsor free and paid clinics (coordinated with New Wave Lax), and begin competitive games Spring 2012 in Nilax.

We are sustained by the efforts of volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and hard work, ensuring that our team is a positive influence in the lives of our children. We also strive to provide a service to our community by providing a healthy outlet for children and opportunities for the community to unite.

Our league is a non-profit organization. We appreciate the generous support of the community, local merchants, and civic organizations.  We have many volunteer opportunities and any sponsorships or donations are always appreciated!
